A non-contact precision infrared measuring instrument scans fast-moving wide-width materials for high-resolution measurements of coating weight, coating thickness and moisture. These meters use selective infrared technology to measure coating thickness consisting of four independent coating components. These measurements are made by using a single meter, thus avoiding the need for hardware intensive multi-scan reduction.
